Service Members Graduate USARCENT's Air Assault School

U.S., Oman strengthen military partnership, capabilities

February 14, 2019 — Military interoperability was evident at all levels in the final event of exercise Inferno Creek 19, culminating three weeks of side-by-side training and many months of planning between the U.S. Army and the Royal Army of Oman. MORE

Inferno Creek is a bilateral training exercise designed to build interoperability between the U.S. Army and the Royal Army of Oman. During the exercise, both militaries are developing shared understanding of each other’s tactics, techniques and procedures to build proficiency and work together to support long-term regional stability.

Crestwood High School’s “Singing Knights” choir performed songs with African-American origins during the U.S. Army Central’s observance of Black History Month at the command’s headquarters, Patton Hall, Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., Feb 13, 2019. 2503rd Digital Liaison Detachment Conducts CPX

The DLD conducted a tactical convoy from Shaw AFB to McCrady Training Center. They joined members of the 151st Expeditionary Signal Battalion, S.C. National Guard, and members of the 206th DLD, Army Reserves. The training provided an opportunity for these three different Army components to work with the total Army concept, establish connectivity and test their Mission Command Systems.

Soldiers Participate in 6-Mile Ruck March at Army Air Assault School

February 8, 2019 — United States Army Soldiers participated in a 6-mile ruck march during day two of Air Assault School’s Class 301-19 at Camp Buehring, Kuwait, Feb. 7, 2019. Students had to complete the march within 90 minutes while carrying approximately 35 pounds of gear in order to stay in the course. MORE

February 6, 2019 — Military and civilian finance professionals, met for the annual U.S. Army Central Financial Management and Comptroller Forum Dec. 3-5, 2018 at Al Udeid Airbase, Qatar. The three-day forum reinforced pathways for open communication and strengthened relationships between leaders in finance management positions across all levels of Defense operations. MORE

‘Echo Company’ Soldiers maintain AUAB air defenses

February 6, 2019 — Al Udeid Air Base is home to more than just Airmen and aircraft. U.S. Army soldiers from Echo Company, 1st Battalion, 43rd Air Defense Artillery regiment, 11th ADA Brigade also call Al Udeid home, providing support to the 1-43rd’s automotive, communications, and ground support equipment for U.S. Central Command’s “Patriot Air Defense” capability.
