Charles, a financial management technician deployed with the Kaiserslautern, Germany, based 266th Finance Support Center, completes a plank at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, on Oct. 23, 2021. The close to 13-year Army veteran said she had a lot of apprehension about the plank, an alternate exercise for the leg tuck in the Army Combat Fitness Test, but faced her fears by training in her barracks room several days a week. Charles can now hold the plank for two minutes, fifteen seconds.
