Sara Jane Arnett, wife of U.S. Army Maj. Samuel Arnett of U.S. Army Central, hosted an event promoting her children’s book in Camden, SC, Nov. 21, 2020.  The Arnetts, who are natives of Kentucky, have worked for nearly two decades to support military families and communities. WVNG joins SPP partner Qatar in virtual exercise

Members of the West Virginia National Guard recently participated in a virtual seminar with members of the Qatari Emiri Land Forces (QELF) as a part of the Eastern Action joint operations staff exercise between elements of the Qatari military and the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) Operation Spartan Shield and Task Force Spartan. Since 2018, the WVNG has worked closely with Qatar as part of the National Guard Bureau’s State Partnership Program.

301st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade completes an Area Support Group-Jordan rotation highlighted by COVID-19

The 301st MEB mobilized to Jordan in March to provide support operations for U.S. forces in Jordan. The U.S. military is in Jordan to partner with the Jordan Armed Forces to meet common security objectives in the region.

Members of the 310th Engineering Detachment work on construction a Joint Air Ground Station building in Qatar. The building is being built using troop labor from a design from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Middle East District's Center of Standardization for Nonpermanent Facilities (COS). The COS maintains a library of off the shelf designs that can be adapted for almost any purpose. Using COS designs can save significant time and money in the construction process.

TF Spartan Soldiers Exercise Long Range Precision Fires Capabilities

Task Force Spartan Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 14th Field Artillery Regiment, 75th Field Artillery Brigade, showcased their ability to rapidly deploy High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) launchers anywhere in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility within hours during AMDEX 21-1. Air and Missile Defense Exercise 21-1, which started Oct. 12, develops and exercises tactics, techniques, and procedures against simulated air, cyber, force protection and missile threats.

3rd Medical Command and the Jordanian Royal Medical Services exchange lessons on COVID-19
