The Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and the 11th MEU are deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.

Members of the Armed Forces from the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Arizona Army National Guard dismantle the transmission from a M998A2 Series High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) during a State Partnership Program vehicle maintenance exchange at the Papago Park Military Reservation July 16. During this week-long maintenance exchange, wheeled vehicle mechanics from both countries explained how they conduct fleet maintenance operations, parts and tools supply logistics and manage personnel and facilities that support maintenance functions.
