USARCENT Powers Up with Renewable Energy

A Solar Light Tower harnesses the power of sunlight and wind throughout the day to power a streetlight at night at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, Oct. 23, 2018. Towers like this one all over Camp Arifjan provide service members with ample lighting at night to walk, exercise, or work safely at any hour, while utilizing renewable energy.

Sgt. Timothy James (left) high fives 82-year-old linguist Abdul Wahid al Rubaye as he completes the 28-mile March For The Fallen-Jordan event Oct. 6, 2018. Rubaye, the oldest participant, posted a time of 10 hours and 19 minutes. James, a medic with 1st Squadron, 18th Cavalry Regiment, 79th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, California National Guard, walked the last 11 miles with Rubaye as a safety precaution.
