CJTF-OIR transitions commanders for defeat-ISIS mission

The U.S. Army’s III Armored Corps, deployed from Fort Hood, Texas, to areas in Southwest Asia, transferred its command authority to the XVIII Airborne Corps, deployed from Fort Bragg, North Carolina.  CJTF-OIR is a 79-member global coalition, which works by, with, and through partner forces to defeat ISIS in designated areas of Iraq and Syria, and sets conditions for follow-on operations to increase regional stability.
