Task Force Spartan Soldiers perform an Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise

Capt. Connor Thornton, along with Soldiers from 34th Red Bull Infantry Division set up a Deployable Rapid Assembly Shelter as their area of operation during an emergency deployment readiness exercise in Jordan on May 3- 10, 2019. The purpose of the exercise is to show the readiness of the 34th Infantry Division and to prepare a command and control from a forward location. As the lead element for Task Force Spartan, the 34th Red Bull Infantry Division works to strengthen partnerships in the region by building upon and leveraging existing relationships.

35th Combat Aviation Brigade’s Southwest Asia deployment ends

Battalion, 108th Aviation Regiment, Kansas Army National Guard, provided aviation support to the 35th Combat Aviation Brigade, Missouri Army National Guard and its subordinate units during their 2018-2019 deployment to the Middle East, supporting Operations Inherent Resolve and Spartan Shield.

3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team Participates in Capstone “Pacemaker III” Exercise

Kuwaiti medical professionals and Kuwait Land Forces soldiers, along with U.S. Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 68th Armor Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, work together to treat a simulated casualty during a combined training exercise at the Udairi Training Range on April 2, 2019. The exercise, which simulated a mass casualty incident, helped U.S. and Kuwaiti forces train in partner nation communication systems, decontamination procedures, medical evacuations by Kuwaiti and U.S. helicopter and ambulance, and treatment of injuries from minor to critical.

Minnesota Red Bulls Share in Social Softball Games with Kuwaiti Community

The event brought people of all ages, nationality and gender, encouraging participation within the sport and local support for the activities. Soldiers are encouraged to develop a pathway for Community Outreach and Social Partnerships with Sporting Events as part of Every Soldier’s an Ambassador program.

Soldiers of the Kuwait Land Forces, Qatari Emiri Forces, and U.S. Army gathered for Exercise Desert Leopard II on March 2-6, 2019. Desert Leopard began as a bilateral exercise between two nations within the Gulf Cooperation Council, Kuwait and Qatar. In December, 2018, leaders of the Kuwait Land Forces invited members of U.S. Central Command’s Task Force Spartan to participate in the exercise, growing Desert Leopard II to include three nations.
