1st TSC Soldiers Complete Mission: Advise, Assist, and Enable Iraqi Security Force Logistics

U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Howard Geck, commanding general, 103rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command, visited Iraqi Army Brig. Gen. Mae'n, Iraqi Army National Western Track Repair Facility commander, at Camp Taji, Iraq, Feb. 24, 2020.  Geck also toured the General Dynamics Land Systems facility where they conduct maintenance operations on the M1A1 Main Battle Tank and the M88 Recovery Vehicle. 



Accompanying Geck was Col. Gerald Newman, 108th Sustainment Brigade commander, Task Force Lincoln, Team Blackhawks, Illinois Army National Guard, who are executing the logistics advise, assist, and enable mission under the 1st Theater Sustainment Command supporting Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve to continue building the sustainment capability of the Iraqi Security Forces. New treatment plant to save costs, help environment

Vance, construction management operations OIC for the 206th Engineer Battalion, shows a new wastewater treatment plant that recently started operation at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq, April 11, 2020. The facility, which cost about $4 million to build, is expected to save money, increase security and help the area’s environment. Coalition Forces remain united and determined in its mission to degrade and defeat Daesh and continues to work with allies and partners to implement stabilization efforts.
