Task Force Spartan Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 14th Field Artillery Regiment, 75th Field Artillery Brigade, showcased their ability to rapidly deploy High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) launchers anywhere in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility within hours during AMDEX 21-1. Air and Missile Defense Exercise 21-1, which started Oct. 12, develops and exercises tactics, techniques, and procedures against simulated air, cyber, force protection and missile threats.

As Theater Army and Coalition Forces Land Component Command (CFLCC), USARCENT enables the Joint Force in named operations and partners with regional land forces to build enduring coalitions that CONSOLIDATE gains against Violent Extremist Organizations (VEOs), COUNTER Iranian malign influence, and COMPETE against Russia and China; while simultaneously RESETTING the Theater for future operations and READY to prevail in crisis response and contingency operations in support of USCENTCOM.

Sgt. 1st Class Christiana U. Charles, a financial management technician deployed with the Kaiserslautern, Germany, based 266th Finance Support Center, completes a plank at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, on Oct. 23, 2021. The close to 13-year Army veteran said she had a lot of apprehension about the plank, an alternate exercise for the leg tuck in the Army Combat Fitness Test, but faced her fears by training in her barracks room several days a week. Charles can now hold the plank for two minutes, fifteen seconds.

1st TSC Soldier crowned Ms. Kentucky 2022
October 27, 2021 — A Soldier serving in the 1st Theater Sustainment Command at Fort Knox, Kentucky was recently crowned United States of America Ms. Kentucky 2022 at a pageant held Oct. 24 in Tifton, Georgia. Master Sgt. Diana D. Layne, executive assistant for the command sergeant major of the 1st TSC, officially received her crown at the USOA Georgia pageant, because Kentucky did not hold an in-person pageant due to COVID-19 pandemic conditions...
