‘Common commitment’ to peacekeeping, future cooperation shown at Steppe Eagle 19 closing ceremony

Ambassador William H. The Ambassador joined the U.K. Ambassador to Kazakhstan, the Deputy Commanding General for U.S. Army Central, and the state of Arizona’s Adjutant General to visit multinational troops participating in Steppe Eagle 19. The exercise is an annual U.S. Army Central-led exercise that promotes stability and interoperability in the Central and South Asia region.

Lady Liberty Arrives in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait

Soldiers of the 77th Sustainment Brigade pose at sunset with the Statue of Liberty replica that traveled from Fort Dix, N.J. to join her Soldiers. The Statue of Liberty has served as a symbol of hope, perseverance, diversity, and freedom for millions of Americans since she arrived and was dedicated by President Grover Cleveland in 1886. For Soldiers of the 77th Sustainment Brigade, she has been their insignia and worn on their uniform since the unit was organized in 1917. The 9-foot replica arrived on June 27, 2019, and now stands in front of the brigade headquarters building at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.
