U.S. Army Central Hosts Asian American Pacific Islander Observance

The “Island Beauties”, a local Polynesian dance group, posed for a photo after U.S. Army Central’s annual Asian American Pacific Islander heritage observance at USARCENT’s headquarters, Patton Hall, Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., May 15, 2019. Members of USARCENT also prepared a “Taste of the Pacific and Asia” food sampling for attendees to enjoy and experience.

USARCENT Celebrates Black History Month with Music, Guest Speakers

Crestwood High School’s “Singing Knights” choir performed songs with African-American origins during the U.S. Army Central’s observance of Black History Month at the command’s headquarters, Patton Hall, Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., Feb 13, 2019. The observance supported the 2019 theme “Black History is American history,” with participation from  Brenda C. Murphy, president of the South Carolina state conference of the NAACP.
