U.S. Army Soldiers with the Texas and Minnesota Army National Guard arrive at Borg El Arab International airport in Egypt, Sept. 1, 2021. The units are participating in Exercise Bright Star from Sept. 2-16, 2021, at Mohamed Naguib Military Base. Bright Star 2021 is a multilateral exercise hosted by the Arab Republic of Egypt with support from the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM). The exercise contains three key events: a Command-Post Exercise (CPX), Field Training Exercise (FTX), and a Senior Leader Seminar which strengthen relationships and enhances military interoperability between the U.S. and Egyptian Armed Forces.
