U.S. Army Central/Third Army "Patton's Own" held a celebration commemorating its 101st birthday in Patton Hall at Shaw AFB on November 7, 2019. Third Army was constituted five days before the end of the First World War in Chaumont, France. For over a century, Soldiers of U.S. Army Central have selflessly answered the call to service for our nation. Men and women from all corners of our country have foraged a legacy of professionalism and pride from the hedgerows of Normandy to the oil fields of Iraq. Our present day Soldiers deter aggression working with our allies to build partner capacity and command U.S. land forces in The Middle East and Southwest Asia. Here is to the men and women past, present, and future have or will serve honorably under our colors. Patton’s Own, Third Always First! Happy Birthday!
