SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C –
U.S. Army units and the United Arab Emirates Land Forces (UAELF) will complete a demanding training rotation at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, La., beginning in August.
This JRTC rotation 25-10 is the culmination of years of coordination and cooperation between U.S. Army Central, Task Force Spartan, 10th Mountain Division, 3d Security Forces Assistance Brigade, and the United Arab Emirates Land Forces. This is the largest rotation involving a partner in the U.S. Central Command region.
The UAELF will serve as a light infantry brigade in the overarching exercise, focusing on light infantry offensive and defensive tasks. The training demonstrates the strength of the U.S. and UAE partnership, as well as the interoperability between U.S. and UAELF maneuver formations.
USARCENT is strengthening regional partnerships and warfighting readiness through the Combat Training Center (CTC) model. These exercises build partner capacity, improve operational effectiveness in unfamiliar environments, and provide leaders with crucial decision-making space.
The United States and UAE share an enduring, strategic relationship rooted in shared interests and security values. ARCENT remains the partner of choice for land forces throughout the USCENTCOM region.
As one of the U.S. Army’s three premier CTCs, JRTC improves unit readiness through realistic, stressful, joint, and combined arms training across various conflict scenarios. It trains brigade combat teams, emphasizing mission-essential tasks and preparing soldiers for combat.
ARCENT is the U.S. Army Service Component Command for USCENTCOM and is responsible to the Secretary of the Army for the support and administration of more than 11,000 Soldiers across the 21 countries in the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility.
