U.S. Army Central fall and winter safety message

By U.S. Army Central U.S. Army Central

U.S. Army Central Teammates,

The fall and winter months are upon us, and with the change in the weather come unique safety hazards.  As the temperature drops and Soldiers, Army Civilians, and Families take to the roads and great outdoors for some well-deserved downtime, they are exposed to different risks.

The fact is that mishaps and accidents peak during the fall/winter season, and each year, Soldiers, Civilians, and Family members are lost due to preventable mishaps. However, with proper precautions and safety awareness, we can all enjoy the crisp autumn weather while avoiding the seasonal dangers. Ask yourself "what is different today?" and allow your answer to guide you toward smart and safe decisions.

The foundation of any organization is its people; the integrity of any organization, its effectiveness, and even its continued existence depends on its people. Therefore, people are USARCENT'S greatest asset and why we must all work together to keep every member of our team safe.
