SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, SC –
April 1, 2022
U.S. Army Central Team,
We would like to take this opportunity to recognize the extraordinary contributions of our military children, past and present.
During the month of April we honor everyone who is or has been a military child, not only for their sacrifices, but for the love and support they give to their Families.
On average, military children move six to nine times during their school years. The Army recognizes the challenges of these relocations, as well as the deployments and reintegration of one or both parents.
Throughout this month, military installations will hold special events. We encourage Families to take part and be vocal about the joys and challenges of the military lifestyle.
It is our sincere pleasure to celebrate this month with The Month of the Military Child.
