MAJOR GENERAL WENDUL G. HAGLER II

Major General Wendul Hagler II was commissioned as an Military Police Second Lieutenant upon graduation from the Arkansas State University in 1988. Throughout his career he has served in Joint, Army, and Army National Guard units in the United States, Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Saudi Arabia.
His principle staff assignments have been Assistant Operations Officer 175th Military Police Battalion; Overseas Deployment Training Manager, National Guard Bureau Operations Division, Arlington Hall; War Plans Officer, The Joint Staff-J7, The Pentagon; Branch Chief, Plans and Programs Branch, National Guard Bureau Operations Division; Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Joint Forces Headquarters-Missouri; Chief of Staff, Joint Forces Headquarters-Missouri; Director, Chiefs Action Group, National Guard Bureau, The Pentagon; Special Assistant to the Director, Army National Guard, for Force Structure, Training and Operations; Special Assistant to the Director, Army National Guard, for Mobilization and Readiness; Vice Director, J-3/7, National Guard Bureau; Special Assistant to the Vice Chief, National Guard Bureau; his most recent assignment was serving as the Senior Defense Official and Defense Attaché, Embassy of the United States- Saudi Arabia.
He held the following commands: Heavy Equipment Platoon, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 875th Engineer Battalion; Platoon Leader in 1139th Military Police Company; Platoon Leader, 1137th Military Police Company; Detachment Commander, Detachment 1, 1137th Military Police Company; Commander, Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 175th Military Police Battalion; Commander, 175th Military Police Battalion, Fulton, Missouri; Commander, 175th Military Police Battalion, Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo; Brigade Commander, 70th Troop Command; In his current role, Major General Wendul G. Hagler serves as the Deputy Commanding General of U.S. Army Central.
MG Hagler is a graduate of the Command and General Staff College, National War College, and received the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Certificate in Public Policy. His awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal (With 1 Bronze Oak Leaf cluster), Legion of Merit (With 1 Bronze Oak Leaf cluster), Bronze Star Medal (With 1 Bronze Oak Leaf cluster), Defense Meritorious Service Medal and Meritorious Service Medal (With Silver and Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters).
