USARCENT personnel shadow 121st Boston Marathon

April 17, 2017 — Personnel from U.S. Army Central’s area of operations traveled to Camp Arifjan’s Zone 1 Fitness Center to participate in the camp’s inaugural Boston Marathon Shadow Run, April 17. MORE
Personnel throughout the U.S. Army Central area of operations step off at 4:02 a.m. for Camp Arifjan’s first Boston Marathon Shadow Run, April 17, at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. This race shadowed the 121st Boston Marathon, but was the first for Camp Arifjan, and gave deployed personnel an opportunity to participate in the famous marathon. USARCENT’s first Air Assault Course graduates students

April 14, 2017 — After 12 days of little rest and multiple exams, military personnel in the U.S. Army Central area of operations made it to graduation day. For these students, it means they have earned the right to an identifier and badge of an ‘Air Assault Soldier.’ MORE

Signal Command's cyber experts speak at local university

Day Zero: Journey to earn Air Assault wings

April 4, 2017 — Hundreds of Soldiers, Airmen and Marines came from miles away to fulfill a dream. Their journey is not easy, it requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to handle heavy equipment, while under duress. Thus, upon successful completion of day zero, candidates can then call themselves ‘Air Assault Students.’ MORE

HIMARS gunnery validates war fighters

April 2, 2017 — Part of achieving the standard as a Soldier is qualifying on an assigned weapon and or weapon system. These qualifications begin at the individual’s weapon, such as an M9 pistol or an M4 carbine. But, there are some Sol-diers who have to qualify on a weapon’s system and as a member of a functioning team. MORE

Riyadh (AFP) - The United States wants to see a strong Saudi Arabia, Defence Secretary Jim Mattis said during talks Wednesday aimed at reinvigorating the Riyadh-Washington alliance.
